Betty Anderson Stanley som sukses as volg op: “He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often and loved much; who has enjoyed the trust of pure women, the respect of intelligent men and the love of little children; who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; who has left the world better than he found it, whether by an improved poppy, a perfect poem, or a rescued soul; who has never lacked appreciation of Earth’s beauty or failed to express it; who has always looked for the best in others and given them the best he had; whose life was an inspiration; whose memory a benediction.”
Kom ons maak ʼn afspraak vir eerskomende Sondag en dan gesels ons spesifiek oor wat beteken “OORVLOED” en hoe deel ons ‘THE GIFT OF LIFE” suksesvol met almal wat vir ons ʼn ewemens is —
(i) Be impeccable with your word — speak with integrity
(ii) Don't take everything personally — what others do or say is none of your business
(iii) Don’t make assumptions and don’t compare — the art of communication
(iv) Always do your best — the ‘best’ is a moment to moment decision
(v) Live purposefully — identify and simplify your passions
(vi) What's good for the goose is good for the gander — careful for double standards
(vii) Curiosity, Creativity and Moderation — pushing boundaries
Dame Judy Dench se karakter in die film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel sê: "The only real failure is the failure to try and the measure of success is how we cope with disappointment as we always must! Can we be blamed that we too old to change ... too scared to start all over again? We get up in the morning and we do our best and nothing else matters or should ... but it's also true that the person who risks nothing does nothing and has nothing. All we know about the future is that it will be different ... but perhaps what we fear is that it would be the same - so we should celebrate the changes because everything will be all right in the end and if it is not, then trust me it is not the end!”

Gedagte vir die Week:
“Graciousness and respect go a long way in life. What is more, they are viral – when people see you doing it they are more apt to practice civility themselves.” ― David B. Bohl from: ‘Slow Down Fast’
